Tyler Wood grew up in Eagan, Minnesota. His passion and love for golf began at a very young age while learning the game from his father. They have played many rounds together and share countless memories on the golf course. This early exposure to golf led Tyler to compete in Junior PGA Tournaments and high school golf at St. Croix. Lutheran High School. Eventually he would play Division III golf at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee and compete in two NCAA DIII National Championships. Tyler graduated from WLC with a business degree.
During college, Tyler was an intern for Brent Snyder for two semesters. Brent has received multiple instructional and developmental awards from the Minnesota PGA Section as well as Golf Digest. He was also Tyler’s swing coach for over 5 years throughout high school and college. Spending time with Brent played a major role in Tyler’s drive to become a Golf Professional and Instructor.
Since graduating college, Tyler has returned to both of his previous schools as a golf coach. He first coached the Boys and Girls golf teams at St. Croix Lutheran High School. In 2022, Tyler moved back to Milwaukee and became the Assistant Men’s Golf Coach at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
In addition to moving to Milwaukee in 2022, Tyler was blessed to marry to his wife, Lauren. The two of them met in college and have been together ever since. Shortly after getting married, Tyler became an Assistant Golf Professional at Westmoor Country Club, which is where he met Molly Braid. Since beginning his time there, Tyler has been able to expand his knowledge in golf instruction by observing and learning from Molly. He will continue to do so as Molly’s Teaching Assistant.
Tyler has been in the golf industry for over ten years. He has over 200 hours of observing two of the top-rated teachers in the Midwest and another 300 plus hours of experience instructing junior golf, clinics and individuals.

Westmoor Country Club Member Rates:
One to One Session: $55/30 Minutes
Two to One Session: $40/30 minutes/person
Non-Member Rates:
One to One Session: $75/30 Mins
Two to One Session: $60/30 min/person
